This extension of the family tree represents the genealogical work of Pat Baribeau. I give her credit for inspiring me to push a bit into other branches of my family tree, beyond the the photo album.
There is a lot more data to be found, along with tales of woe and intrigue, in the actual document found here. Murder, insanity and drunken death by train......

Shafer, Michigan. The DuBois house is in the foreground, with the bar immediately behind.
Anastasia with seven of her nine daughters: back row Annie, Lottie, Lillie and Mamie, middle: Leah and Edith, and Florence in front.
Anastasia Tessier married Paul Napoleon DuBois on June 10, 1873. They had seven daughters: Anastasia (Annie) Gendron (born 1877), Hanor DuBois (born 1881), Mary (Mamie) Klug (10-12-1882 to 2-25-1983), Ella DuBois (3-1885 to 10-24-1887), Lottie Blair (born 1888), Matilda (Lillie) Herbert (born 1890) and Edith LeMay (born 1893).
Paul DuBois is said to have owned a boarding house, a bar and five more houses in Shafer, Michigan, in addition to five houses in Gladstone, Michigan. He is also said to have been shot in a bar on Christmas Eve, and died three years later, although I'm not sure if his death was as a result of the shooting. After Paul's death, Anastasia ran the boarding house in Shafer to support her daughters. She later married Adelore Laviolette, and had two more daughters: my great grandmother Leah Elizabeth Williams and Florence Catherine Gingrass.
