The Spieth and Wise Branches
Henry Wise was the third oldest of ten known children. The others were: Fredrika (9-21-1841 to 4-18-1922), Richard (b.~1842), Louisa (b.1843), Lewis Wise (b.1-1850), Frederick K. Wise (b.2-24-1852 d.5-10-1933), Christian J. Wise (b.1854), Hannah (b.~1858), Kate (b.~1860) and Jacob J. Wise (b.~1865).
Mary Anna Law was the second oldest of eight known children. The others were: John E. Law (b.5-1849), Henry J. Law (b.~1853), Catherine (b.~1855), Augustus Law (b.~1859), Jacob B. Law (b.5-1865), William A. Law (b.8-1866) and Joseph Charles Law (b.2-1869).
Many of the Wises, Laws, and more than a few Spieths lived in the towns of Grafton and Elyria, in Lorain County, Ohio. Arthur Spieth and Lorena Wise raised their family in Detroit, Michigan, where Arthur was a machinist. Arthur's uncle, Charles Harold Spieth married Rosa Wise, Lorena's oldest sister.
